Blue-Green Algae Bloom Watch Posted!
The Chautauqua County Health Department has posted that blue-green algae bloom(s) have been spotted in Findley Lake. The posting reminds individuals using the lake to: don’t swim or wade near blooms or surface scum; don’t drink the water; keep children and animals away from any blooms or scum; and, rinse with clean water if exposed. The posting also reminds you to consider medical attention if you have symptoms of nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; skin, eye or throat irritation; allergic reactions or breathing difficulties. Report symptoms to the Chautauqua County Health Department.
